The importance of translating the meanings of the Holy Quran into international languages
Keywords:

The translation of the Holy Quran was and is still a disputable issue among the Muslims as some of them say that the Quran should not be rendered into another language except Arabic for its holiness, while others find a way of translating the meaning of the Quran – rather than its text – because the text is considered, religiously and linguistically, as impossible to be translated. The revelation of the Quran in Arabic was intentionally and deliberately meant by Almighty Allah to defy the Arabs in their own trade of literature especially in the craftsmanship of poetry in which they excelled others in at that time. The Quran remains a book of miracles, but its miraculous ability is in its inimitability (as no one has yet made a similar surah or the like of it since its revelation) and untranslatability into another form of reproduction in other languages (as hundreds of translations were made and are still made, but none would come to the absolute or perfectly final form of translation). These translations are incomplete as they are mere human efforts. This article intends to throw some light on the opinions of some Islamic scholars regarding this issue. Every language carries within it many vocabulary words whose meanings differ slightly from each other. We conclude from the results of this study that translating the Holy Qur’an into other languages is not an easy and accessible matter for anyone who wants to do so. Rather, whoever undertakes such work must have a great knowledge of the Arabic language and a solid knowledge of its declarative methods And rhetoric, and delve into discovering its secrets And that it is to that, with the best luck of the language that the translation wants to with the importance of the accuracy and honesty in the translation, which gives things its fruits.
