The Methodology And Style Of Tafsīr “Al-Kashaf An Haqaiqo Al-Tanzeel Wa Uyoon Ul Aqaweel Fi Wjoho Al-Taweel” By Allama Zamahshari: A Critical And Explonaitory Study

Abstract

The sciences of the Quran contain all the arts, among them is the knowledge of interpretation, in which the famous people of the Ummah have rendered valuable services. Al-Kashaf by Allama Zamkhshri is also considered as a prominent masterpiece of this art, which has adopted the method of Tafseer Bil-Ray as well as Tafseer Bil-Masoor to some extent.Using various exegetical techniques, Imam Sahib has deduced rulings, supported the beliefs of Mu'tazila and criticized the opponents. The abundant and skillful use of rhetorical and gramatical rules has made it an unparalleled first ranked of rhetoric work among the sources of rhetorical Tafseer, which clarifies the need and importance of research work on this type ofTafseer. So that the scholars and researchers, while benefiting from its unique style, method and technical merits, will introduce many new aspects in the field of research, rejecting the beliefs of the group of falsehoods arising in the Muslim Ummah and the ijtihad problems faced in the present age. From the research study of the Tafseer, it has been tried to know whether it is a unique rhetorical Tafseer? Has the Mufassir used his academic ability to support the beliefs of the Mu'tazila unnecessarily? What are the prominent aspects in the style and manner of Tafsir? Previous research works such as: "The causes and roles of revelation in Tafsir Kashaf" by Syed Hussain Hashmi (1995), "The analysis of meanings in Tafsir Kashaf" by Yasri Amani Shadman (2011), "Zamakhshri's Tafsir al-Kashaf is a Analytical review" by Prof. Fazlur Rehman Aligarh University study shows that there is a lack of research in this aspect. Therefore, the selected topic has been discussed in a narrative and research style with brevity and comprehensiveness so that it can be helpful in the field of research and understanding of the Qur'an for both the general and the special.
