Interpretation and Explanation of the Qur'anic Terms Related to the Leadership of Muslim Ummah (An Analytical Study in the Light of Selected Tafsir Literature)

Abstract

Islam is a complete code of life that provides complete guidance related to all aspects of life. Leadership is necessary for getting the national objectives.  Every society, group, organization and state needs such leadership who can lead them towards development. Right guidance is possible by great leadership.  It is impossible to refuse the importance of the principles and benefits of leadership that Islam gifted.  After acting upon these teachings, the leader can perform right services.  He is the guardian of the nation that protects their rights as well promotes their common welfare.  No doubt, The Holy Quran is the last divine book that provides best guidance related to different fields of life.  Many verses and terms are available related to the leadership of The Muslim Ummah. We need to ponder over these terms rightly that The Holy Quran portrays.  In this article, in the light of interpretations of Quranic  terms related to the Muslim leadership would be studied analytically.
