Abstract

The belief of Khatm-e Nabubat is definite from the religion requirements, among its arguments, the Qur'anic verses are at the first number. The verses of the Khatm-e Nabubat are ultimate evidences as well as arguments. It has been prepared by keeping six Urdu popular commentaries for model. These commentaries are considered as the pillars of the Tafseer literature of Islam. In all of them, the importance of this belief was highlighted, but they all presented articles without any disagreement that it is not correct to interpret the verses of the Khatm-e Nabubat. All these commentators have tried to prove it through various recitations, dictionaries, hadiths, interpretations of proverbs, linking verses, articles of the Qur'an and rational arguments that Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH)is the last prophet. It is against the authority of the Qur'an for anyone to come as a prophet after him, even in any situation. The interpretations to be supported in this context are extremely weak. No matter how many angles of interpretation are made on this perspective, the result of all of them is that the Qur'an does not have any meaning for a new prophet. Rather, the truth is that those who interpret the verses of the Khatm-e-Nububat do not have any reliable method of reasoning. Their interpretations are rejected by the text itself, which is clear from the examples. Hence, it is need of the hour that a persuasive, comprehensive, clear and reliable work should be done in this regard. This research will highlight the perspective, importance, foremost need and better answer of research question.
