Abstract

Humanism is an objective way of thinking shaped by science, driven by craftsmanship and inspired by empathy. It demonstrates the pride of every human being and supports the enhancement of individual freedom and opportunity in harmony with social and earthly obligations. She advocates for a more participatory majority government and more open societies that uphold fundamental freedoms and civil rights. Free from the supernatural, she sees humans as part of nature, and she believes that rigid, moral, social and political values are rooted in human experience and culture. Humanism, therefore, argues that human needs and interests determine the purpose of life rather than religious or philosophical considerations and that humanity should develop a sense of responsibility for its own destiny.
