This study aims to discuss and investigate the causes and remedies of Inflation according to Qazi Abu-Yousuf's views from the Islamic Law perspective. Inflation is one of the most important issues of Economics, and its production is a central part of determining the prices of the commodities of daily life; it decreases the value of paper currency or purchasing power, and resultantly, negative economic consequences arise, including the hike in the prices of goods and services. Islamic Scholars discussed its root causes and purposed a solution to counter its effects. All four Imams were mousing using real money despite paper currency, but they did not suggest any appropriate measures to tackle this important aspect. Hence the views of Imam Abu-Yousuf are different to these scholars as he not only discussed inflation but also suggested some important solutions to it. In this article, the views of the four Imams have been discussed in general, and the views of Qazi Abu-Yousuf have been focused on in particular.
