Analytical Study of Different Translations of Selected Verses in Kashf-ul-Mahjub
Abstract
This research presents an analytical study conducted on various translations of selected verses from the renowned mystic Sufi text, "Kashf-ul-Mahjub." Kashf-ul-Mahjub is the first book of Sufism has written in Persian language.The aim of this study is to explore the variations and nuances found in different translations of these verses, and to assess their impact on the interpretation and understanding of the text. By comparing and contrasting these translations, the study develops an understanding of the varying perspectives and approaches taken by translators in conveying the essence and message of "Kashf-ul-Mahjub" to different audiences. The analysis focuses on linguistic choices, cultural contexts, and the translators' interpretations of the original text, shedding light on the potential biases, challenges, and strengths associated with each translation. Ultimately, this study contributes to the field of translation studies, offering insights into the complexities and intricacies of translating spiritual and mystical texts, and providing a valuable resource for scholars, researchers, and readers interested in delving deeper into the profound teachings of "Kashf-ul-Mahjub" by Ali bin Usman Hujver (R.A).
